Who we are

The Agricultural Cooperative of Xirolivado consists of a group of people, who in the early 1980s came together, in order to buy and develop, certain land on Mount Vermio, and more specifically at the location Xirolivado of the community of Koumaria Imathia.

This original group of buyers consisted of 100 members and the lands purchased consisted of about 500 acres of forest and 11 acres of residential plot.

The formation and creation of an Agricultural Cooperative, after years became mandatory under the current legislation.

The name of the consortium is "Elata"

Our vision

The management of the co-owned forest and the residential plot, the management of its finances and members, the promotion of the area both at cultural and tourist level.

The area is suitable for investments in wind and photovoltaic parks, nickel, cobalt and limestone quarrying. Also, the natural beauty offers prospective investments for tourist units, sports centers and training grounds of sports clubs.

A few words about Xirolivado

Xirolivado is a settlement of Koumaria Imathia, built at an altitude of 1,220 meters, on a plateau of Mount Vermio.

Just 19 km from Veria and 92 km from Thessaloniki.

It is one of the most mountainous settlements in Greece.

Next to the settlement, during the summer months, a small lake is formed, which the inhabitants of the area call Bara.
